<br />
Deborah Lippmann has long been my absolute favorite nail polish brand of all time. I have always found her lacquers highly pigmented with great consistency and lately she's been wowing me with some fantastic new releases. Although <b>Believe</b> isn't a new polish by any means, it's still just as relevant as it was when created. Summer is finally in full force, and warm weather calls for colors that invite light, warmness, and elegance. Believe is a radiant soft white gold that shimmers brilliantly in direct sunlight while taking on a more muted look in shade.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsV2v7ncGt5UeyETpT1CLGNa24jCoouxRSdzKgNHPPauhhwExyVACvgQ8Jvo__hYZ4jZ5qwjj6Mx1LiAzaNriIa3_XIvdfIc8rpgueSPIYxWYrTVlgn3WFXgPcQ8BVKbWpvcFqWWKQmjM/s1600/DSCN7251.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsV2v7ncGt5UeyETpT1CLGNa24jCoouxRSdzKgNHPPauhhwExyVACvgQ8Jvo__hYZ4jZ5qwjj6Mx1LiAzaNriIa3_XIvdfIc8rpgueSPIYxWYrTVlgn3WFXgPcQ8BVKbWpvcFqWWKQmjM/s640/DSCN7251.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
You can easily see the fine particles that catch every bit of light in the image above. Something about this looks so much like finely ground up mother of pearl, it a fantastic way.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdKRgbqnrSRB1Xk010JT6s3GjzpyghMkxyl39hyphenhyphen9Zb_ZcxbSYbcX-A_OGxlLx5lueGqmop_IYZ4rKKwsfUSbhhL6o-jGahMUgI-kiSD6JEEVI2ZUHD0IdhIFxAMKWjkG6tMFpACLVm6lA/s1600/DSCN7255.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdKRgbqnrSRB1Xk010JT6s3GjzpyghMkxyl39hyphenhyphen9Zb_ZcxbSYbcX-A_OGxlLx5lueGqmop_IYZ4rKKwsfUSbhhL6o-jGahMUgI-kiSD6JEEVI2ZUHD0IdhIFxAMKWjkG6tMFpACLVm6lA/s640/DSCN7255.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Consistency of Believe is very similar to many foils, smooth and easy to work with. Although a thin polish, it applied evenly and provided full coverage in three thin coats.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQayUDGLERu1St63ff8LLI5F6F0ALNMcf4I9exdFuy8RMgCNrQPsqxucaMXJfOAVZdgyOVAFrqHlJbT14ZO54u-4ommiNabBPtSNWulp3ahP_S5qI-he9qxwualgboxukJ6cQSm8qk_jw/s1600/DSCN7258.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQayUDGLERu1St63ff8LLI5F6F0ALNMcf4I9exdFuy8RMgCNrQPsqxucaMXJfOAVZdgyOVAFrqHlJbT14ZO54u-4ommiNabBPtSNWulp3ahP_S5qI-he9qxwualgboxukJ6cQSm8qk_jw/s640/DSCN7258.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Direct light is where you'll see this polish's true beauty shine through. The shine is so bright, I found it very difficult to capture in image form.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOBccr_bjuKDkNeFL7kj7F7CynAdLwFkm11LoiOeH9n-INi0yrnVbc61EiJCx77ZbmNgVIcLzk2S9b_FpfwszzOg7flLeudvdDk5Pp2VhqAV8ZY0exItktrsaiJs3l4qsL0Xhoj-qnKew/s1600/DSCN7256.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOBccr_bjuKDkNeFL7kj7F7CynAdLwFkm11LoiOeH9n-INi0yrnVbc61EiJCx77ZbmNgVIcLzk2S9b_FpfwszzOg7flLeudvdDk5Pp2VhqAV8ZY0exItktrsaiJs3l4qsL0Xhoj-qnKew/s640/DSCN7256.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Something I would suggest trying with Believe, is the addition of a matte topcoat. It adds a great velvety softness to the overall look! I know I'll be reaching for this delicate color all summer long for my more formal events and occasions, what colors will be you wearing this summer?<br />
<br />

<br /></div>
Hey everyone! It's been a long time since I've blogged on here! With exams, recently joining a fraternity, getting an internship, and beginning my process for a study abroad program, I've been either busy or exhausted. Now that Milwaukee is seeing longer, sunny days, I'll have much more day light to swatch!<br />
<br />
Both of these polishes are from Zoya's Pixie Dust collection, which came out a few weeks ago. At first, I was a little bit skeptical as I'm a huge fan of glossy tips, but I was very curious as to how a gritty consistency would translate in real life. One thing I must say is that both of these polishes catch the light in a very elegant way and creates an effect that glossy polishes can't. Images can't even show how wonderfully sparkly they are, you'll just have to check them out yourselves!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsh-pFSgXnRMpZfimaYSaEkbIqK2MCeygaaGsr9YM3-3Re996by2EVzgCBBmJG7y1ZCxJCyz7slg5tofUb4Ia5u41l6bdquoGVYPNDa1rSX6P41nSoim8xSSH78GpbY034Mpy4W7hn-a8/s1600/DSCN6650.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsh-pFSgXnRMpZfimaYSaEkbIqK2MCeygaaGsr9YM3-3Re996by2EVzgCBBmJG7y1ZCxJCyz7slg5tofUb4Ia5u41l6bdquoGVYPNDa1rSX6P41nSoim8xSSH78GpbY034Mpy4W7hn-a8/s640/DSCN6650.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
First, I have Zoya's <b>Godiva</b>, which is my favorite of the two I picked up. Consistency was great, and it dried relatively more quickly than your average, smooth consistency lacquer. Color-wise, this nude is perfect for my skin tone and completely flattering, I have a feeling I'll be wearing this polish a lot this summer! Godiva is really a lovely polish, throughout the day I caught myself staring down at my nails and amazed at how sparkly it is.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Secondly, here's <b>Chyna</b>, which seems to be most bloggers' favorite. Again, consistency was a joy, even better than Godiva, and allowed for precise control, something I was not expecting to get with a gritty polish! The base color is a very rich red, and it's filled with red sparkles that catch the light very glamorously. All I can think of when I see this polish is Marilyn Monroe!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpok5vbWSl4JCmc6_CH2qhQbHzJFGZo0njDHpk4_ozttlZOlIfzMMFVzV9NqeqAapz5pLBmPdcc2E08BTs8wZqEgN2M4HekT42YfDfXaE_D_S_FxHoBHEsjHVwVFkxgDigM5Q_G49IZII/s1600/DSCN6693.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpok5vbWSl4JCmc6_CH2qhQbHzJFGZo0njDHpk4_ozttlZOlIfzMMFVzV9NqeqAapz5pLBmPdcc2E08BTs8wZqEgN2M4HekT42YfDfXaE_D_S_FxHoBHEsjHVwVFkxgDigM5Q_G49IZII/s640/DSCN6693.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkB7oDyVGuXKj1Wy9e_GFKJDtyiINp6NutUiAkDjlxpQR9Zgxav5OuaFqzmfD3m3vvMu0BmkAjGhSXplzfKAahpg_k8OQSpeF1-pOTchyphenhyphenipQUQINS4VsaH1I4ET2SD6uBLGWNR0DR7_oY/s1600/DSCN6695.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkB7oDyVGuXKj1Wy9e_GFKJDtyiINp6NutUiAkDjlxpQR9Zgxav5OuaFqzmfD3m3vvMu0BmkAjGhSXplzfKAahpg_k8OQSpeF1-pOTchyphenhyphenipQUQINS4VsaH1I4ET2SD6uBLGWNR0DR7_oY/s640/DSCN6695.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Removal of these polishes is easier than a typical, glitter-packed color, but it's still tougher than removing a creme based color. Also, these polishes wear pretty well, I only had minor tip-wear after five days, and I'm rough on my nails!<br />
<br />
Overall, I really like these polishes and would definitely recommend trying them out! </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Hi all! I hope all of you are doing well, I have missed writing on this blog! It seems like it's been so long, and I swear I haven't forgotten about you! I have been so busy and I also decided to try to grow my nails long and try out another shape. If you check out my earlier swatch from Valentine's day, you may see that I was shaping my nails a little differently. Unfortunately, as my nails grew longer, I became more and more unhappy at the way they looked, and didn't feel like they were something I wanted to show you guys. Even though I was being stubborn and kept growing them, a few days ago two of my nails broke pretty badly and I was forced to file them down. I was happy with the way they looked again and I've realized clean lines and tastefully short nails is what works best for me!<br />
<br />
In celebration of being happy with my nails again, I've painted my nails with an extra special color: Essie's <b>Damsel in a Dress</b>. This color is definitely not new in my collection, it in fact is one of my first Essie polishes, but it's such a nice color I felt it was only fitting. This color is a rich, deep purple base with subtle, warm purple shimmer. Radiant in sunlight, and not dark enough to lose its color in shade.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZcWDLnPFNE-7FZCIJtN2LLGl10YeMO2Z60hq-Dq6-CC4yeqAMEN9XfdC5ggNTLyg7pgDzdrnDBZ1JYgG-edIGBleTPUdY172W3iDuAL8WZVzgIxKKQJrz1qCWffmjdv1nU-8QJ7yDzEc/s1600/DSCN6596.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZcWDLnPFNE-7FZCIJtN2LLGl10YeMO2Z60hq-Dq6-CC4yeqAMEN9XfdC5ggNTLyg7pgDzdrnDBZ1JYgG-edIGBleTPUdY172W3iDuAL8WZVzgIxKKQJrz1qCWffmjdv1nU-8QJ7yDzEc/s640/DSCN6596.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Damsel in a dress is a great quality polish with an excellent consistency. I was able to completely control how the polish flowed onto the nail and it was wonderfully self leveling. Three, even coats provided full coverage.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLTWjS6kI5lYBAD6LGIwGUmGqBJ8756LuM2p132rid9kqEgm98tdpNPDWj-i8v73NP_sbDe5PNKFLa3zx-YyglAUUv5l8eIYUzTPtgPVpzj2vqnMGMqWq7os64cAupdfZ6o-sF9K__nIY/s1600/DSCN6603.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="458" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLTWjS6kI5lYBAD6LGIwGUmGqBJ8756LuM2p132rid9kqEgm98tdpNPDWj-i8v73NP_sbDe5PNKFLa3zx-YyglAUUv5l8eIYUzTPtgPVpzj2vqnMGMqWq7os64cAupdfZ6o-sF9K__nIY/s640/DSCN6603.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
So I have a question for you, how do you shape your nails? Do you prefer long or short? What are your thoughts on the new pointed nails that are quite popular recently?<br />
<br />

<br />
Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I hope all of your days are going well, I have been having the oddest morning. Do you ever have those days where it feels like everyone is looking at you as you walk down the street? When everyone you glance at is already looking in your direction? At first I thought that I might have something on my face or in my hair, but nope, no clue!<br />
<br />
Anyways, back to business! Today I'm wearing Ciaté's <b>Dangerous Affair</b> on all of my nails, which as I have been running around this week, I noticed is quite a color changer. Dangerous Affair is a red cream/jelly, which is why I believe it has these peculiar properties. These images were taken in direct sunlight, and the polish shows as a bright red, but indoors and with cloudy lighting, the polish is a deep blood red. Either way, this polish is a beautiful, rich color, perfect for Valentines! This is three coats for opaque coverage. Consistency was streaky, but the second and third coats evened it out very well.<br />

On my ring finger, I added a coat of <b>Enchanted Rose</b> to add a little glam to the mani. Enchanted Rose features two sizes of glitter, small, and very fine glitters. It's so shimmery and the different sizes give a really nice depth to the look. I had no problem with consistency at all, it was very smooth. </div>

Overall I really like both of these polishes I think that they're a fun combination! Have you guys been painting your nails for Valentine's? What colors did you choose?</div>

Here's the second part of this gorgeous collection I showed you last week. I think you'll like the last part of this collection, I adore the whole line. These colors turned out much better in photographs than the last two colors, and I had much better light! Yay! I think Estée Lauder was spot on when capturing the essence of their inspiration, Parisian chic. Each and every one of these colors make me feel so fun and fashionable. These colors are perfect for rainy spring days, they definitely brighten my mood!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguQfmnULJ5xkaeWtpFZuZi0LzXfIaAHo0wUlJaQH3DB_n1YDg6lkBdZn2GAgL88gzVpODC3Y1Z1zy3g2__hT0IY5XLIi86YZrhasYdslppU4S-Iue4CpRvUv3CkmRI5yIMDmvmAIqTlH4/s1600/DSCN6507.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguQfmnULJ5xkaeWtpFZuZi0LzXfIaAHo0wUlJaQH3DB_n1YDg6lkBdZn2GAgL88gzVpODC3Y1Z1zy3g2__hT0IY5XLIi86YZrhasYdslppU4S-Iue4CpRvUv3CkmRI5yIMDmvmAIqTlH4/s640/DSCN6507.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<b>Narcissist</b> is a light, pink creme polish. Very flattering on my skin tone, and something I can see myself wearing for all occasions. This is a wonderful basic pink, and although it's not the most unique color, it's a welcomed change to the many vampy shades in my collection.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivCVdJTh2xlivGR_dFb04KJLiD7wdH3e1wW52gxpUpCqCJKGTTznWVkyJ3lFIQ05WDPzph1E5IWsS_xbW1DqKBl6aPwcPEW_-CuiTKaDTaPzs0LdEkbZpnXFQSFiUqCuVIjOQEfXwlRSA/s1600/DSCN6527.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivCVdJTh2xlivGR_dFb04KJLiD7wdH3e1wW52gxpUpCqCJKGTTznWVkyJ3lFIQ05WDPzph1E5IWsS_xbW1DqKBl6aPwcPEW_-CuiTKaDTaPzs0LdEkbZpnXFQSFiUqCuVIjOQEfXwlRSA/s640/DSCN6527.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>

<br />
This is two coats to make for full opacity, looking closely you can tell this was a bit streaky. Narcissist is a polish that demands your attention during application, it was not easy to work with!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBE9hC0e2GhfO7Xoamhm0IsRue7S580PNqFEfI_VfYLiF2ztFBE4AMIaEBK9w5dGTkG3DZpfNDxtEtCnqSGBecGMr9ns4ci4_scb6GHQd4QqKVNBdbid0R0kuP4RlFswXI-YRR-Hpy1Zo/s1600/DSCN6512.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBE9hC0e2GhfO7Xoamhm0IsRue7S580PNqFEfI_VfYLiF2ztFBE4AMIaEBK9w5dGTkG3DZpfNDxtEtCnqSGBecGMr9ns4ci4_scb6GHQd4QqKVNBdbid0R0kuP4RlFswXI-YRR-Hpy1Zo/s640/DSCN6512.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
This is my second favorite color in the collection, <b>Dilettante</b>. This pretty blue reminds me of the famous Tiffany blue, although I haven't compared it to the actual color. A delicate turquoise just in time for spring! Love this color, and I don't own anything remotely like this, so that's a plus!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgEuZoTFjqT-6DnKI3as_rK0sOkvaKg_TZsPUW914SxhEU_mgAo1FcEN2fo89Jh82EUplzRrWBqMbjNPN4FC_qxsV1RDsN8b0S4b5sCCtKwFdzicgc1PMZdh487tKenlnmSWa9IqEh8M4/s1600/DSCN6532.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgEuZoTFjqT-6DnKI3as_rK0sOkvaKg_TZsPUW914SxhEU_mgAo1FcEN2fo89Jh82EUplzRrWBqMbjNPN4FC_qxsV1RDsN8b0S4b5sCCtKwFdzicgc1PMZdh487tKenlnmSWa9IqEh8M4/s640/DSCN6532.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
This was two coats, and it was also pretty hard to work with. Streaky and a weird thin/thick consistency. At least it turned out pretty with a nice coat of Seche Vite on top to even it out!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQM04Yq0m4pbchAQUmLZy18oIAIsV4KLI26cuEmDNQIhBS-3srlo3uhHRTolC5j_yj52rd1kihbrFbISYvkqqRn7Mgn-u98StdBV1EBiztoqD35OsGBr3-4edaE0-M4DlUJ-HLaov3lqA/s1600/DSCN6514.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQM04Yq0m4pbchAQUmLZy18oIAIsV4KLI26cuEmDNQIhBS-3srlo3uhHRTolC5j_yj52rd1kihbrFbISYvkqqRn7Mgn-u98StdBV1EBiztoqD35OsGBr3-4edaE0-M4DlUJ-HLaov3lqA/s640/DSCN6514.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
And last, but not least, <b>Coral Cult</b>. This is a nice coral creme, and a really pretty shade. Wonderfully milky and creamy, I this this could be a really pretty wall color wouldn't it? This is one of only a very few shades of coral I have, so I'm loving it!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmWS2y_oHCBwN3DmyX8KrUhy2TC493n8y7qeQpshZVtzqpIcs9yFcWaVgBajkIqjJPg6xze6ZDP7bsxmqG33NwQ1qJ8oBiJ8PJ7LbqIhIt5o9rr6zRVzVYLvyw2dYUuHB0tw2fzShoFow/s1600/DSCN6542.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmWS2y_oHCBwN3DmyX8KrUhy2TC493n8y7qeQpshZVtzqpIcs9yFcWaVgBajkIqjJPg6xze6ZDP7bsxmqG33NwQ1qJ8oBiJ8PJ7LbqIhIt5o9rr6zRVzVYLvyw2dYUuHB0tw2fzShoFow/s640/DSCN6542.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiD05GNVqlKNhl5KDnFqpyw2qQSe6nlNXTk_nJdhFPOhp6kYgdDSIt13uXiuQMURxy3FBxqVzLGkl2C_7wXgFt24qO9UZV6pYopBKDRTQvRTRu2mdaj20Gr8hJn_9jEHZKZQDQY4OBfQHA/s1600/DSCN6549.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiD05GNVqlKNhl5KDnFqpyw2qQSe6nlNXTk_nJdhFPOhp6kYgdDSIt13uXiuQMURxy3FBxqVzLGkl2C_7wXgFt24qO9UZV6pYopBKDRTQvRTRu2mdaj20Gr8hJn_9jEHZKZQDQY4OBfQHA/s640/DSCN6549.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
This is again, two coats for mostly full opacity. As the days go on I have notices super faint visible nail line, which I probably wouldn't have even noticed if I hadn't been staring at them during lecture. A little streaky, but easier to work with than the others.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjg8Yb9AZnl7hOxLK_1pIBKJacxfrwVOlFjPTpdCDjt-vgbrw0N3nZhthylcUjR_NOpmtEwsdycFnMerciQuH4Y7et5hbP0yC0BVQVxwg_RG-OG0Vkmw_BYfamNOmJMDBqSFb6Qp_RQucs/s1600/DSCN6501.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="374" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjg8Yb9AZnl7hOxLK_1pIBKJacxfrwVOlFjPTpdCDjt-vgbrw0N3nZhthylcUjR_NOpmtEwsdycFnMerciQuH4Y7et5hbP0yC0BVQVxwg_RG-OG0Vkmw_BYfamNOmJMDBqSFb6Qp_RQucs/s640/DSCN6501.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
So there you have it! So far my favorite collections to come out this spring. I think they're just too pretty. I hope you enjoyed them as well! Will you be sporting any pastels this spring? </div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A few weeks ago, while trying very hard, but failing miserably at concentrating on my econ homework, I stumbled across a press release of a gorgeous collection of polish. It caught my wandering attention span, and brought me straight back to memories I had forgotten. This collection is described as a being reminiscent of the pastoral colors of Paris, France and I couldn't agree more! Today I would like to share with you the first two polishes of Estée Lauder's Heavy Petals collection: <b>Absinthe</b> and <b>Lilac Leather</b>. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCDWBnqRvve-AhpnkQv2zTGxvlxQusStDtUObaPk2re-FzrjfK4O4K5d_pjJY8B6JyGI9eulmRascBMiLDWv0oBMJmqU9LKgv_u_CACTE7qb8YoOrgmBdHY1d-e3qgwiYVdC3NliydAug/s1600/DSCN0078.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCDWBnqRvve-AhpnkQv2zTGxvlxQusStDtUObaPk2re-FzrjfK4O4K5d_pjJY8B6JyGI9eulmRascBMiLDWv0oBMJmqU9LKgv_u_CACTE7qb8YoOrgmBdHY1d-e3qgwiYVdC3NliydAug/s640/DSCN0078.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<b>Absinthe</b>, the mysterious and rumoured dangerous elixir is what this polish is named after, but what it reminds me of, is the first time I had ever tried a French macaron. I was wandering around the area around the Sacre Coeur in Paris, when I found myself in a tiny cafe. The glass cases in the front were filled with these little burger shapes sweets, colored in pastel shades. I ordered a bright green one flavored "Pistache" and took my first bite, and that's when I instantly fell in love with Paris.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkYqEoMlzXU4_uqLp4Hv0NJCMNp5oUJP2jehn8UYs06rfT1S8nRMl5ossfG07jxyiEHUw0Ng-2sdFI06wSeRM9MjmzdKpahNI1r_JH5TQ0y99uQG0Ai7e2QrtU3-rs9Q0u01SrYktSiDI/s1600/DSCN0085.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkYqEoMlzXU4_uqLp4Hv0NJCMNp5oUJP2jehn8UYs06rfT1S8nRMl5ossfG07jxyiEHUw0Ng-2sdFI06wSeRM9MjmzdKpahNI1r_JH5TQ0y99uQG0Ai7e2QrtU3-rs9Q0u01SrYktSiDI/s640/DSCN0085.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Absinthe is a beautiful yellow green, definitely one of my new favorite colors! It's one of the oddest greens I've come across in a polish, but it's ridiculously flattering! You can see that it's both bold and soft, and it reminds me of a color an impressionist painter would love. Consistency was on the thin side, but wasn't streaky or difficult to work with. This is two, careful coats to make full opacity. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijCa-eAznyWz9iljK7V_aVjxUXq9C4tl-g5sPVtgVsTsWt6HjKlLTUW6Y82hDrlWP4Zi0AAnq0orACFimcWCAmQU-WlLIUhbXYtcReluUE9ve-06unztX_5aAR5s9PeZ5t0u5aoFF9t1g/s1600/DSCN0079.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="404" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijCa-eAznyWz9iljK7V_aVjxUXq9C4tl-g5sPVtgVsTsWt6HjKlLTUW6Y82hDrlWP4Zi0AAnq0orACFimcWCAmQU-WlLIUhbXYtcReluUE9ve-06unztX_5aAR5s9PeZ5t0u5aoFF9t1g/s640/DSCN0079.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here's another, really beautiful color! <b>Lilac leather</b> is a very warm purple, almost leaning pink in some light. This is now my go-to purple! Sounds weird, but it is so flattering on my skin tone that if I could only choose one polish to wear for the rest of my life, it would be this one! Sooo pretty! When I see this polish, I think of the gorgeous colors in the movie Marie Antoinette, which is one of my favorites!</div>

This is two coats for full opacity. This polish unfortunately gave me some trouble, as it was a bit streaky and took a while to dry.<br />

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind! It's gone so fast I cannot believe that the spring semester is beginning already. Just two days ago I was taking a final macroeconomics exam, life is going by so fast these days. This break has been so productive and busy, that I forgot to take a breather! I've been taking these few off days to relax and rest, as well as getting moved back into my apartment. On my last day off, I want to share with you what's been helping me stay afloat.<br />

<br />
Hey all! I hope your winter weather hasn't been too bitter and brisk! I've been a busy bee with new years celebrations and attending class everyday. It's been stressful and crazy, but I love being busy, it keeps me driven and happy! Here's a new color from one of my favorite brands, <b>Tempestuous</b>, by Estée Lauder. I've been working with a brand new camera, and I'm not quite sure I have it down 100%. The color quality on these photos is a little off, but I do think these show fantastic detail compared to my old photos!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitPGjQtVgFLkMiDopw7vaYmMkBFe6aZOhd0yll8c69BJm8tY_YmPpbhH19tS5o4CUXdTPLBGPZYKXtF76BUXr794kF1d-Kf6InN8tsgW_5LYEsO7G85iqJ0cxgxI8LK0kDWcBbVYnG4ds/s1600/DSCN0045.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitPGjQtVgFLkMiDopw7vaYmMkBFe6aZOhd0yll8c69BJm8tY_YmPpbhH19tS5o4CUXdTPLBGPZYKXtF76BUXr794kF1d-Kf6InN8tsgW_5LYEsO7G85iqJ0cxgxI8LK0kDWcBbVYnG4ds/s640/DSCN0045.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
This polish is a black base, with blue and purple shimmer. See the top right corner of the "E" logo in the photo above? That's what the color really looks like in sunlight. This polish is truly sparkly and shiny in person, it's quite pretty. The shimmer is quite obvious, even indoors, so the wonderful color shows through all day! This is two thin coats, and consistency was great. This polish is the perfect balance of fun and classy.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I have been consistently falling in love with Estée Lauder polishes, so expect to see some more in the future! What do you guys think of this color? I'm loving it!</div>

<br />
Merry Christmas everybody! Did you all wake up early to open your presents? My Christmas has been filled with cookie baking, decorating, and lots of present wrapping. I love the holidays, getting together with family, making tons of fabulous food, and seeing friends. There's just something so heartwarming about being with the people who love you most.<br />
<br />
Here's my Christmas mani, I've picked <b>Dior Apparat</b> this year to dress up my tips. Apparat was a holiday color from last year, and it's a beautiful, opulent red base with fine red and gold glitter. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I am in love with this color, it's perfect for the holidays, rich and luxurious. Fantastic for a Christmas party with friends or family. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is two coats to make opaque coverage. I found this polish difficult to work with, as it was quite thick and became even more so as I continued painting my nails. I had a hard time keeing the manicure clean, and it definitely didn't apply evenly, but that was nothing a good coat of Seche Vite couldn't fix. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Overall, I'm happy with the result of the manicure, but the process could have been easier with a smoother formula. What have all of you been sporting on your nails this holiday season?</div>

<br />
Good evening everyone! For all of you college students, let's celebrate the end of a fantastic semester! If you've been following my site for a while, you know that I've been a little MIA lately, business school will do that to you! Now I'm back home with my family for the next couple of weeks to relax and prepare for another intense few months of school. I'm hoping to switch up some of the upcoming posts, I hope you guys will like them!<br />
<br />
Yesterday I was surprised with an amazing early Christmas present from my boyfriend, who I won't be able to see until New Years Eve. We both exchanged gifts early so that we could celebrate some holiday cheer together. I was so excited to see something that I was sad I had missed out on as I unwrapped his present... the Ciaté Mini Mani Month Advent Calendar.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFONM8Qg2q868LpTuCwzLMd0fQltCC0zZHA7nGBSWYMPoLZKPSOexILxCKQqAti4j9o0RsaWz20wh2gKwOazXDea5_pcvyo9ZBuLCQkfUU91XVjY-XJxnQnwrm8fl7ZA5GgYCPEvi4hTY/s1600/IMG_7396.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFONM8Qg2q868LpTuCwzLMd0fQltCC0zZHA7nGBSWYMPoLZKPSOexILxCKQqAti4j9o0RsaWz20wh2gKwOazXDea5_pcvyo9ZBuLCQkfUU91XVjY-XJxnQnwrm8fl7ZA5GgYCPEvi4hTY/s640/IMG_7396.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The advent calendar features 21 mini Ciaté nail colors as well as three bottles of micro beads for a total of 24 days of polish. I opened up all but the 24th color, and there's an impressive variety of colors and types. I just think this is such a cool idea, seriously, one nail polish a day? You can sign me up for that anytime. I'm a big sucker for packaging, and Ciaté has excelled in this department with a beautiful box and adorable bows on each bottle. I decided to wear the first nail polish Cupcake Queen, a hot pink with subtle blue shimmer, on my nails today. It looks like I have candy on my nails! </div>

Consistency was great, I was able to get full opacity with two thin coats. Very even and easy to work with. One thing I do think could be improved is the shape of these tiny bottles. They're quite skinny and easily knocked over. I'm not familiar with the full sized bottle, so this may just be a problem for these minis.<br />

Overall, I think a nail polish advent calendar is a fantastic idea and a wonderful gift. This is my first experience with any of Ciaté's products and I'm impressed so far! I hope more of these show up next holiday season. I hope every one's holiday is going splendidly!</div>

Good morning everyone! I hope you all have been keeping relaxed and healthy in these chilly days. I have been extremely busy with school work and I am working on an exciting project for the blog that I think you guys will really enjoy! Today though, I'm going to review OPI DS (Designer Series) <b>Extravagance</b>, which is a color I think you guys will love. Please let me know what you think of it! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjceS39qYhDANRw8U0YX0zEhy04-ZJOZed3z7slrZHQM8ckuBc_Nyw630FtsUExVS5EhXL80lLyotLikqcxqCM1riXjaYHsLEBGx-jHdMz_FS2e3d9GYd7-9QRESghMDfSOUjV4Sqa82RM/s1600/IMG_7178.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjceS39qYhDANRw8U0YX0zEhy04-ZJOZed3z7slrZHQM8ckuBc_Nyw630FtsUExVS5EhXL80lLyotLikqcxqCM1riXjaYHsLEBGx-jHdMz_FS2e3d9GYd7-9QRESghMDfSOUjV4Sqa82RM/s640/IMG_7178.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
This has to be one of my all time favorites, the color is so rich and saturated, and the holographic glitter is sure to get you noticed. When I wear this color I feel extra confident and beautiful, and when a product makes you feel like that, you know you've found a winner! Some people have shoes or a dress, I have nail polish! As you can see this is a deep fuchsia with a good amount of holographic glitter. Consistency is very smooth, which allowed me to have concise control of where the paint flowed onto the nail.<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Today I have a fantastic color to share with you! I have finally made it home and I admittedly don't really know what to do with myself. No homework, no projects, no exams, and everyone has gone to work and school for the day at my house. My plan is to do laundry and hopefully meet up with a friend for coffee before family comes over and preparations for the big feast begins. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Anyways, on to the polish! Chanel <b>Paradoxal </b>is a dark grey/mauve based color with finely milled purple shimmer. The shimmer is most evident in the bottle, and becomes subtle once painted on the nails. I find Paradoxal to be a bit of a chameleon, in sunlight the purple is more evident and looks very warm, yet in shade or artificial lighting it looks like a cool grey. It's one of those colors that's a little hard to describe, but I think it would look great on any skin tone!</div>

What do you guys think of this polish? I personally like it a lot. It's not a color that's in your face or that people will stop you in the streets to comment on, but it's oh so sophisticated and grown up.<br />
<br />
Is anyone planning to do something for black Friday? This year our mall opens at midnight, which means I am not getting any sleep that night. Are you shopping for anything specific? Any great deals you can't pass up? Let me know! Happy holidays!<br />

<br />
Happy Monday everyone! I trust all of your weekends went well, and that your upcoming thanksgiving weeks will be great! I cannot wait to go home soon, I'm definitely in need of a break! I think everyone needs to see their families sometimes, I wish I could see mine more often. Here's a polish I think you guys will love, I know I fell in love with it when I first saw it. This little number goes by the name <b>Wallis</b>, and I think you'll fall head over heels when you see her too.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioYMlah8DNLnrRlGIMX7gCVTcoMbdrpw3UYRpQeHNesuoHfyEwib1GbylXnN9F9dItx0aPPOJWkn6wblSUgLunsPtq_CRwWMDJOxfO129lwb2-pqztoP5C3NC7PH5nHdYEGX_aVk7hGFs/s1600/IMG_7159.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioYMlah8DNLnrRlGIMX7gCVTcoMbdrpw3UYRpQeHNesuoHfyEwib1GbylXnN9F9dItx0aPPOJWkn6wblSUgLunsPtq_CRwWMDJOxfO129lwb2-pqztoP5C3NC7PH5nHdYEGX_aVk7hGFs/s640/IMG_7159.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Isn't she so pretty? A gorgeous, vibrant army-olive green that's rich at the same time. Wallis isn't a new color, but you can still find it at your local Ulta. I find that a lot of olives tend to be dusty, but this one glows from within! I find this polish so elegant and edgy.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyklqexWltzt_yE6gRNwzdACq2zp-wlAJFXtKL2nD7RLUTdpXMBWCviLj-hGwezhswJIqnxOsY3jCY5UQm8nC5C0JWt4H50O8cYhCI2GuW5hliv_sFK8j_deL5l9D6ztTbikutjpvSxPA/s1600/IMG_7163.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="412" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyklqexWltzt_yE6gRNwzdACq2zp-wlAJFXtKL2nD7RLUTdpXMBWCviLj-hGwezhswJIqnxOsY3jCY5UQm8nC5C0JWt4H50O8cYhCI2GuW5hliv_sFK8j_deL5l9D6ztTbikutjpvSxPA/s640/IMG_7163.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
What do you guys think of this color? Do you already own it? I think this is so stunning for fall. This is two coats, with one layer of Seche Vite on top. Great consistency, and easily removed as well.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I hope you enjoyed the review! What are you guys doing this thanksgiving break? Let me know!</div>

My past week was probably one of the most stressful weeks I've had in a long time. I had three exams this week and a few papers due, which made this week intense! We all experience moments when it seems as though there isn't enough time in the day. I want to share with you some things that got me through my stress:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFdY21iMt4lEajxf6LoZiq0Jm79dT5zNpEiNI-HL-4hYWltPe0jiejijj5H6-dML2JO2t01frCTaKQSdDf8gmYg0h_guKTkQSK-q20cWj2FLh_4lsuPAN2hkD_1UwkhYgVp4ro_HZJwrE/s1600/IMG_7023.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFdY21iMt4lEajxf6LoZiq0Jm79dT5zNpEiNI-HL-4hYWltPe0jiejijj5H6-dML2JO2t01frCTaKQSdDf8gmYg0h_guKTkQSK-q20cWj2FLh_4lsuPAN2hkD_1UwkhYgVp4ro_HZJwrE/s640/IMG_7023.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Some beautiful flowers from my fantastic boyfriend. I love fresh flowers, especially when the days turn chilly and dim.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I love the way trees look without their leaves. There's just something so macabre and beautiful about seeing these dormant "skeletons" everywhere.<br />

Delicious candied violet petals from Ladurée. I picked these up in NYC and have been slowly munching away at them this week. I love the subtle floral-ness, and it's a perfect way to satisfy a sweet tooth! <br />
<br />
These are the things the helped me survive my week, what do you enjoy when feeling overwhelmed? </div>

How are all of you doing? I hope your weekends have been great! Only two more weeks until Thanksgiving and it can't come sooner! My up-coming week is full of presentations and exams, not so fun, but that's life isn't it? Anyways, I have a swatch to share with you today, <b>NARS Night Rider</b>. Night Rider is a glass-fleck polish that has a plum base with lighter, lilac/silver shimmer.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjF6-p2nUjxtgM2eYApD7UPMO96ejtpb5Ae8EKkG1w7Y82_sCgPLAU8-umFLwnEQxwTDMAG_x0SkylGcruQZ_pw7_CHzGpn8cSjoyEkb9A7HBgMLhq2KPU8tJleQxQDM02aWc4jvt2_ewQ/s1600/IMG_7078.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjF6-p2nUjxtgM2eYApD7UPMO96ejtpb5Ae8EKkG1w7Y82_sCgPLAU8-umFLwnEQxwTDMAG_x0SkylGcruQZ_pw7_CHzGpn8cSjoyEkb9A7HBgMLhq2KPU8tJleQxQDM02aWc4jvt2_ewQ/s640/IMG_7078.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
It has nice consistency, and was totally opaque in three coats. Unfortunately I don't think this polish looks very good on my skin tone, which is sad because I really do like the color in the bottle. This is three coats with one of Seche Vite over top.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8jRHYHVIPOULg_bq6Fo0PQbufLvrZLXwKwsb_3tt3xoDt5whkZ5bVgjAtN0BhES8HLD2JbZmvfXdWOAbVvY2mS8S_eLs24TGUZ7HcBCGmnpeewTRgO_CGRG7UeflFxf3V14CwWhxXcaE/s1600/IMG_7079.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="458" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8jRHYHVIPOULg_bq6Fo0PQbufLvrZLXwKwsb_3tt3xoDt5whkZ5bVgjAtN0BhES8HLD2JbZmvfXdWOAbVvY2mS8S_eLs24TGUZ7HcBCGmnpeewTRgO_CGRG7UeflFxf3V14CwWhxXcaE/s640/IMG_7079.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I think this color would look really nice with as one coat or layered over something. What do you guys think? We're still having cloudy weather over here, but tomorrow is supposed to be sunny, so I'm planning on getting some good swatching in tomorrow! Have a fantastic Sunday guys, hope you enjoyed the swatches!<br />

<br />
Drudgy, rainy weather and homework up to my chin make me feel so overwhelmed, but I have some really exciting things coming up, which seem to be the light at the end of this very cold, damp tunnel. What has been keeping me sane through all of this you ask? Some simple pleasures and procrastination: chai tea latte's, keeping up on my favorite blogs, involving myself in some really exciting activities, <i>and</i> painting my nails beautiful colors. There is truly no greater feeling than having pristine and primped little fingers; OK, maybe I haven't been able to shower in two days, but my nails are <b>gorgeous</b>.<br />
<br />
Here's a color that I think you guys will all love and it really fits the broody mood mother nature seems to be in lately. I've been loving dark vampy colors this fall season, and this one is definitely a winner! You may recognize it, since it's been around for a while, it's from the OPI Russian Collection. It was one of my very first OPIs, even before I fell in love with polish! <b>Midnight In Moscow</b> is what I'm showing you today.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgop8V3-_yQTnhYFwLwPr815NdW-9L3aLGlmm1mCNMsafoMz-eoNZ5Wh5b065jBfkbYrt3sWb385XOzzkX3PJMiHvXTpSz2oqpIxv4_6IBYZuSBgQMTHPBZ_SFJPeLo-_Ws5WRoQCb68Po/s1600/IMG_7030.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgop8V3-_yQTnhYFwLwPr815NdW-9L3aLGlmm1mCNMsafoMz-eoNZ5Wh5b065jBfkbYrt3sWb385XOzzkX3PJMiHvXTpSz2oqpIxv4_6IBYZuSBgQMTHPBZ_SFJPeLo-_Ws5WRoQCb68Po/s640/IMG_7030.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Here's a close-up of the polish. Unfortunately, since it's been cloudy and I prefer to only use natural lighting, these pictures didn't come out as crisp as I would have liked, but I still think you can see a good amount of detail. You can see that the polish is a very dark red. The base is actually black, and the red is from very fine shimmer. This is probably one of my darkest colors, since the red is very subtle.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLMNbpCdNIIYYir4HBdwdQZdC5ejOd2zh13GlZXQbP0Ftjpjlj8_IKYXA1h59RslnvCl8RVSnEd6J9WX4CPMJRe7l5KSCr9lk8R5kaObMkSx994r6_KVuSWegYw0zMQKnsXzRcpInSVgI/s1600/IMG_7032.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="440" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLMNbpCdNIIYYir4HBdwdQZdC5ejOd2zh13GlZXQbP0Ftjpjlj8_IKYXA1h59RslnvCl8RVSnEd6J9WX4CPMJRe7l5KSCr9lk8R5kaObMkSx994r6_KVuSWegYw0zMQKnsXzRcpInSVgI/s640/IMG_7032.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
So how do you like this polish? Would you consider checking it out? I think it's definitely going to become a color I reach to a lot this upcoming winter! Hope everyone is having a fantastic week!</div>

Hey everyone! I'm sorry I've been MIA for so long. School has become unbearably crazy and busy. I barely have any time to anything for myself! Today we've been experiencing some strong winds from hurricane Sandy, look at those gorgeous waves! All the way over here in Wisconsin we've been experiencing the effects of the big storm. My heart goes out to all of the victims of Sandy, and I hope all of those displaced may find warm homes soon.<br />
<br />
Some things that I've been up to: taking part in All Hallows Eve festivities, recovering from a terrible hair color, and a recent trip up north.<br />
<br />
I can't wait to post some more soon, I've finally borrowed back the camera for a while so expect some great things to come! Thanks for reading!<br />

<br />
Hey guys! I hope everyone is having a fabulous week! I am so excited for the weekend! It's my little sister's fourteenth birthday and I'm traveling to rural Illinois to go to an apple orchard. Here I come apple cider, maple fudge, and cake doughnuts! Fall is here and I couldn't be happier. Today I chose the "must have" color, <b>Orgasm</b> by NARS. It's universally flattering (just like the iconic blush of the same name) and timeless.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpitaqsO-N11hfkKF2VtOrcqodlUg0wYLc3YQiXdMLVGbabMBBgbLn9ydXuw-aoKOKxPIpi74i_XB-dTZoBx3cq40m3BWdTbfQsZqfsboR2h74JSI17TT0ERpikV9K2xnaNcMiLoz4Jjc/s1600/IMG_6742.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpitaqsO-N11hfkKF2VtOrcqodlUg0wYLc3YQiXdMLVGbabMBBgbLn9ydXuw-aoKOKxPIpi74i_XB-dTZoBx3cq40m3BWdTbfQsZqfsboR2h74JSI17TT0ERpikV9K2xnaNcMiLoz4Jjc/s640/IMG_6742.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<b>Orgasm </b>is a gorgeous peach based polish with warn gold shimmer. This polish is a little bit sheer, even with three coats there's some visible nail line. I love that this color is bright, and in a way, subtle at the same time. This had a great consistency, and was very even. I have one coat of Seche Vite top coat on as well.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijrHQ8cAWSQFs7Q_T5Rqds37OlyY-Fa8HOfAnzGMnHuysIekOMgVwbF9snl5ofXIrzjJwnbSKmwf_XyxNOualIK7IViXBbUczm7KF1Vh0fQkBZhc6axFc7bTti6hcAFLcHPsz7k5b_elA/s1600/IMG_6750.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijrHQ8cAWSQFs7Q_T5Rqds37OlyY-Fa8HOfAnzGMnHuysIekOMgVwbF9snl5ofXIrzjJwnbSKmwf_XyxNOualIK7IViXBbUczm7KF1Vh0fQkBZhc6axFc7bTti6hcAFLcHPsz7k5b_elA/s640/IMG_6750.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
So what do you guys think about this color? Would you consider this a "must have?" Have a fantastic week and remember to cherish the beautiful weather before it's gone!</div>

I hope every one's week is going well! School has made me really busy, but I'll always have time for my nails. Deborah Lippmann is my favorite polish brand ever. The designer always creates new and innovative colors. This duo was my 20th year birthday gift, and I was so ecstatic when I received it. These are such bright and happy colors!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Here's <b>On the Beach</b>, a gorgeous turquoise reminiscent of Mediterranean beaches. This is definitely a summery color that would brighten anyones mood! Anyways, this is three coats for complete opacity, and dries with a glossy finish. Great consistency as well, very smooth and self leveling.<br />

<br />
<b>Mermaid's Dream</b>, oh my oh my. I'm sure you've heard of this polish, there was so much hype when it came out, and for good reason! This polish is one of my all time favorites, and I treat it like a precious little gem. This lacquer consists of medium dark blue hex glitter as well as very fine green and blue particles to make up the sea-foam green base. There's some very subtle holographic particles as well! This polish reminds me of crushed up gems and sea shells. This is three coats with some visible nail line peeking through.<br />

So what do you guys think of this duo? I personally really like it, and had nothing similar to either of these colors. These both have a coat of Seche Vite. Have any of you tried these colors out? I hope everyone enjoys this review and I would love to hear your feedback! </div>

Fall is almost here! The coming season is my absolute favorite time of year. Chilly breezes, chai latés, and falling leaves make me so happy and excited for the coming winter months. I <i>love</i> winter, which is something that most people think is crazy, but who doesn't love to bundle up?<br />
<br />
I decided to paint my nails to get myself in the mood for cooler days now that school is in full throttle. New World Purple is one of the first Dior lacquers I ever bought. This purchase was actually a total accident, as I meant to get another color, but this one ended up in my bag. They were really similar colors, and you know how department store lighting can be, so I pointed to the wrong bottle. Oops! As first I was like, no! But once I tried it on I was happy and I figured it must have been fate, so it stayed.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<b>New World Purple</b> is a raisin based lacquer with an abundance of golden brown shimmer. This polish really shows it's true beauty in direct sunlight! Fantastic formula typical to Dior, this is two coats to make for complete opacity. This is such a warm beautiful color and has great lasting power on the nails.<br />

<br />
Hey everyone! Things here are finally beginning to settle down. With school starting in a few days, I'm so relieved I'm finally 100% moved in and ready for classes and have a little more time on my hands for swatching! As you may know I recently took a trip to New York City. My trip was a blast as I made sure to visit some places I'd been dying to see. Besides adventures to some the fantastic bakeries and cafés (Magnolia Bakery, Ladurée, Dean & Deluca) I <i>had</i> to take a trip to Madison Avenue and find myself something to bring home. I purchased my first Estée Lauder nail polish in <b>Chaos</b> & <b>Smashed</b>, don't you love those names?!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnJcSfVZawB-7ujeiugjLoLC_znF1PUnI79zvucIPl0gkoyV3d2dHgCygYc2Rel2blago9vvQ-gaYKur3b0rapwLke6TRk1nNubPqTnJd57SnW7qZYXVr2ftxX3vhUHmI4pn8LC_TO4qs/s1600/IMG_6640.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnJcSfVZawB-7ujeiugjLoLC_znF1PUnI79zvucIPl0gkoyV3d2dHgCygYc2Rel2blago9vvQ-gaYKur3b0rapwLke6TRk1nNubPqTnJd57SnW7qZYXVr2ftxX3vhUHmI4pn8LC_TO4qs/s640/IMG_6640.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
This is <b>Chaos</b>, the first Estée Lauder color I ever tried on. This is the color that made me fall in love with the brand, I will always think of the glamour and sophistication of NYC when I wear this! Chaos is a liquid-like pewter. In sunlight, hints of lavender and periwinkle show through in the bottle.<br />

The next color I had to have is <b>Smashed</b>, it's an absolutely fantastic and seductive color. This is definitely my favorite of the two! It's truly the most perfect purple I own, an ideal balance between light and dark, moody and luminous. A true keeper in my book!</div>

So much has been going on in the past few weeks and I've been barely able to keep up with my busy schedule. Between moving into my new apartment, looking for a job, and taking a week long trip to New York City, life has been hectic to say the least! Aside from all the commotion that's been going on lately, I've been putting a lot of effort into making my bedroom my own. It's so exciting having my first space that's all mine, and I'm super excited to personalize it just the way I want! Here are some images that have been inspiring my decorating style: <div>

Hey everyone! I want to apologize about being gone for so long! I've been busy and stressed out from going on a trip to NYC and moving into my apartment, which has left my nails in a dire state. Please bear with the lack of posts from me, I will be back, I promise! Thank you to all of my readers for hanging in there ;)<br />

Neons have been all over the place this summer. Although I love bright colors, they've gotten a little bit redundant. The new colors coming out for fall have been a welcomed change and I can't wait until I can get my hands on some of them! As I was losing hope that I would ever find a unique neon, I found China Glaze's Summer Neons collection, which has shimmer in the colors, making these different from the countless other neons <i>everywhere.</i> <b>Pink Plumeria</b> is the polish I chose to get from this collection, because, well, look at it!<br />

Pink Plumeria is a beautiful orange based pink. Leaning towards coral, but also a super Barbie pink in some lights. The superfine gold and pink shimmer makes this more unique than the other neons floating around, and also just give this such a beautiful depth and sheen.<br />

I don't know if it was just the fact that I was painting my nails at three in the morning or that it was 90 degrees with a humidity of 98 percent outside, but I found the consistency of the polish a little bit thick and hard to work with, which is something I've come to expect from China Glaze neons. Also as a note, this dries matte so a top coat is necessary. Overall, I love this, what a gorgeous color!<br />
<br />
Did anyone else decide to pick up this color, or any other colors from the China Glaze Neons collection? </div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02835337666504558075noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9051205216528091749.post-65273247754061439232012-07-12T18:47:00.001-07:002012-07-12T18:47:36.410-07:00YSL: The Black Collection<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">

Hi everyone! It feels so good to get back into the swing of things again with blogging and getting set for school. I've finally found an apartment with two very sweet girls and I'm now on the hunt for a job! It has been blazing hot this summer (last weekend it was a record breaking 110!), so today at only 90 is a great breather. For someone who moved up north to get away from hot temperatures, this sure hasn't been my favorite summer, but it has brought some great nail polish trends and collections. Today though, I'll be reviewing a trio that reminds me of cooler days: The Yves Saint Laurent Holiday Set, which includes <b>Black Bronze 126</b>,<b> Black Lapis 127</b>, and <b>Black Indigo 128</b>. I received this set from my mom as a random gift this January, how lucky am I, right?<br />

This color reminds me of octopus ink, or when you get the ink of a pen wet and it bleeds into paper. On the nail the blue shines through brilliantly and is truly gorgeous in direct sunlight. Indoors it's a very dark blue/black. Again, my favorite.<br />
